I recently came across the site “All My Faves,” which is a bookmark site. All My Faves organizes links to websites simply by that company’s logo. After looking it over, I realized that it is a perfect example of the huge importance a logo plays in the image and identity of a company.
I frequently post advertisments for Chris OBrien Design at Cape Cod Craigslist under “Creative Services.” For those of you who aren’t familiar with Craigslist, it’s basically a community bulletin board combined with the classified section of a newspaper.
Jobs, items for sale, discussion forums and even a place for rants and raves, all neatly catergorized. Craigslist is a community site; I look at the Cape Cod / Islands most frequently, but they have one for Boston, as well as the “South Coast.” In fact, there are hundreds of Craigslist community sites across the entire world.
Last Wednesday, for my 26th birthday, my wife Emily surprised me and took me to Spilt Milk Tattoo to get some new ink. I had drawn this ambigram a while back and thought it would make a great tattoo.
As you can see I had it done on my left wrist. I did the work of flipping the tattoo upside down in the corner of the photo, so you can see that it reads the same both ways without having break your neck or your computer screen.
